Troy Carrigan was born in Detroit Michigan and during the tumultuous 1960’s, the family moved to Suttons Bay in Northern Michigan where she attended Suttons Bay High School. After high school she traveled the southern US living in Texas, Mississippi and Alabama. She joined the US Air Force in 1976 and served in California and at RAF Croughton Air Base in England, allowing time for travel in the UK and Europe. She returned to Michigan with her husband and three sons and attended Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City studying in Automotive Service, Early Childhood Development, and Business Administration. Employment opportunities prompted a move to Rockford, MI in 1992 and today she and Wayne, her husband of 34 years, make their home in Grand Rapids. Troy’s strong Christian faith is the bedrock of her life and the basis for her interaction with others. Troy’s diverse employment background includes positions in electronics, automotive, newspaper, cable and broadcast TV advertising, sales, administrative assistant, project management, weight loss coaching, safety training sales, human resources consultant, and more. As an avid reader and lifelong learner, Troy has read more than 200 business books on personal and business development and human behavior.
